Distance Education Quality Policy
"In the light of our institutional values, which we have developed inspired by our ancient national culture, by building an environment of learning and thought with international competence, to raise research-oriented people who are open to development, have a highly professional and social responsibility awareness, and can produce solutions to the basic problems of humanity" is an expression of the reason for the existence of our institutionalism.
To fulfill this primary duty properly requires "providing adequate education" at undergraduate and graduate levels. This aim of providing adequate education and training is a guide in distance education as well as in formal education.
In this context, the distance education policy of our University;
• Siirt University aims to present a sustainable and manageable distance/co-education infrastructure to all its stakeholders, under all conditions, and to design and manage it flexibly.
• It continuously improves and develops its distance education policy under the strategic goals and objectives of the University.
• It creates specific standards related to distance education processes and acts accordingly.
• Provides necessary information and pieces of training and prepares critical guides about training processes.
• Integrates student-centered learning and interaction, which considers contemporary scientific values, into the distance education system.
• Contributes to continuous improvement of distance education processes and learning resources.
• Offers various assessment and evaluation opportunities in student-centered education and training processes.
• It designs learning and teaching processes supported by rich learning paths according to the principle of diversity.
• By providing access and ease of use to the system, it delivers the programs' aims, learning outcomes, and course and qualification relations to all its stakeholders online.
• Increases student and instructor competence and satisfaction in distance education processes.
• Siirt University stores, processes, and preserves all personal data recorded through digital means during distance/co-education within the framework of current legal regulations and international academic and ethical standards.
