The principles regarding the execution of the 2021-2022 Academic Year Educational Activities of our university have been determined by the Senate committee of our university. Our university, which was authorized to conduct 40 percent of its courses online, with the decision taken by the Council of Higher Education after the opinion of the Scientific Committee, took the necessary measures to enable and maintain face-to-face education and decided on the education model for the 2021-2022 Academic Year.
1. How will our university's courses be carried out in the 2021-2022 academic year?
In our University's Associate, Undergraduate, and Graduate programs, it has been decided that a maximum of 40% of the 2021-2022 education courses, including the service courses, will be given by distance education and the remainder by face-to-face teaching.
2. What can I do with the Distance Education System?
Your username and password are the same as the username and password you use in the OBS (Student Affairs Information System). Through the Siirt University Distance Education System, you can follow the course documents of the courses announced in the weekly curriculum, attend the live classes in the system, ask your questions about the procedure via e-mail, and access the educational dates from the announcements. You can take a life lesson through the virtual classroom with the course's instructor and contact via live chat or e-mail.
3. What is my Username and Password?
Your username and password are the same as the username and password you use in the OBS (Student Affairs Information System).
4. How can I take classes in the ALMS Distance Education System?
Our students and academics can access the distance education system with the student automation user name and password/academician automation username and password as specified at https://lms.siirt.edu.tr.
5. What can I do if I forget my password in the ALMS Distance Education System?
When you forget your password, you can ask for help by sending an e-mail to our Distance Education and Research Center's address siuzem@siirt.edu.tr.
6. How can I create a Support Request?
Via the ALMS system: One of our support units for students and instructors is the Communication Tools/Help Desk support system on the ALMS education portal. Through this system, students can ask the answers to their questions about the problems they experience or the information they are curious about, one to one, to the officials in the Distance Education unit, and the team can get the answer in the shortest time and in the most accurate way.
